Area now in Canada: Gulf of St Lawrence. Admiralty Chart 2516: 'North America East Coast. Gulf of St. Lawrence. Newfoundland from the surveys of Cook, Lane and Bullock. The remainder by Captain Bayfield, Royal Navy. Assisted by Commander Orlebar, Lieutenant Hancock, Mr Forves'. Shows lights and tides. Scale: 1 inch to about 19 miles. Compass indicators. Published 16 March 1857. French fishing area round the coast of Newfoundland is edged with blue in manuscript. Corrected to March 1868 and then entitled 'Gulf of St. Lawrence by Captains Bayfield and Orlebar, Royal Navy. Newfoundland from the surveys of Cooks, Lane and Bullock, with additions from the surveys of Captain Orlebar and Staff Commander Kerr, Royal Navy.' Corrected to 1871. Engraved by J and C Walker.
