North America: Alaska, North West Territories, Greenland. Admiralty chart 260. 'Chart of the North Polar Sea': from the North Pole to the fiftieth parallel. Shows the boundary between the territories of Great Britain and Russia as defined by the treaty of 1825. Scale: 1 inch to about 30 miles. Published 24 December 1855 under the superintendence of Captain Washington, Royal Navy, FRS, Hydrographer. Additions to 1859-1861. Corrections January 1865. A red line stretching northwards from Granitsa Channel to Mackenzie Bay shows the British-Russian border in Alaska settled in 1825. In Admiralty letter of 19 December 1867. Engraved by J and C Walker.
