Map of area in Argentina, Chile. 'Plano del territorio de la Pampa y Rio Negro y de las Provincios Chilienas que lo avecidan por el Oeste'. Shows the area surveyed by a military party under command of General Julio A Roca posted between Rio Negro and Nenquen by the National Executive. Key to symbols used. Scale: 1 inch to 32 miles. By Manuel J Olascoaga, head of the Military Topographical Office.The military frontiers established in September 1881 are inserted in manuscript. Inset chart of the Rio Negro Estuary to a smaller scale. Lithographed by Alb Larsch, Buenos Aires. Enclosed in dispatch number 55 of 26 September 1881 from Mr Egerton at the British Legation, Buenos Aires.
