Decorative title surmounting a picture of the American eagle rising from a shell on water, against an industrial background, designed by W Mason. Decorative border of leaves, flowers, shells. Reference table. Scale: 1 inch to 25 miles. Insets: 'A General Map of the United States with the contiguous British and Mexican Possessions' (1 inch to 145 miles); maps of the environs of Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Albany, Washington, Cincinnati, Charleston, New Orleans, Niagara Falls and Rochester. Drawn by J H Young. Engraved by J H Young, F Dankworth, E Yeager and E F Woodward. Published by S Augustus Mitchell.
