Map of areas now in Zimbabwe, Botswana, Mozambique, and Zambia. 'The Matabili, Mashona and Bamangwato countries within the British sphere of influence shewing the territories of Khama and Lobengula'. In the right margin: 'Mappe présenté avec les corrections exigées pas les Droits du Portugal, 12 Juillet, 1890'. Scale: 1 inch to about 16 miles. Inset map of southern Africa. Published on 21 July 1890. Manuscript additions show Cawston's proposals for the Anglo-Portuguese boundary south of the River Zambesi and the 'line of waterparting'. Compiled for G Cawston.
