Area now in Malawi. Map in 26 parts: 'Shire Highlands Railway Syndicate. Proposed Chiromo and Blantyre Railway (including alternative route via Cholo): plans and sections, 1895-1896, 1897'. Includes sketch maps of Shire Highlands, showing roads, paths and coffee plantations. Part 18 is a large sketch showing whole route (and alternative) with coffee plantations. Part 26 is a diagram of gradients. Some reference tables. Various scales. Compass indicators on plans. Plans and sections all about 69 cm x 56 cm, except for Part 18 which is 244 cm x 153 cm. Grieve Macrone, engineer, 1895-1897.
