West Africa. 'Chart prepared with a view to show the present state of the slave trade on the Coast of Africa'. Shows west African coastline from River Gambia to Little Fish Bay and gives details of slave trading, slave ships captured, treaties entered into with native chiefs and Liberia and Portuguese possessions. Manuscript additions and notes dated Foreign Office, 23 April 1849. Reference table. Scale: 1 inch to about 50 miles. Inset: coast near Benguela Bay, 1840.
