Description

'Central Africa': map shows political boundaries, British and German spheres of influence in East Africa, Congo Free Trade Area, and Khama's Country. Reference table to European and other possessions. Manuscript additions show the boundary of the new Portuguese province of Zumbo: (1) according to Portuguese Royal Decree as given in the Times of 11 November 1889; (2) according to despatches from Lisbon number 148 and 158 of 1889 (see FO 84/1966). Manuscript additions drawn by [John] Bolton [of the firm of E Stanford: see FO 84/2074, folio 261]. Printed and published by E Stanford, London.
