Description

'Map to illustrate King Menelek's claims of territory appertaining to Kingdom of Ethiopia' (endorsement). Shows boundary of Ethiopia according to King Menelik, approximate ancient boundary of Ethiopia, and boundary between British and Italian spheres of influence according to protocols of 24 March and 15 April 1891. Reference table. Scale: 1 inch to about 92 miles. Boundary of Ethiopia according to King Menelik's letter of April 1891 enclosed in India Office letter of 9 July 1891.
