Area now in Kenya, Ethiopia, Somalia. IDWO 1249A. 'Map of the Basin of the Juba River and of the countries to the North and West'. This map is IDWO 1249 overprinted to show the supposed southern limit of Ethiopian occupation, April 1897, limit reported to the Rodd mission 1897, area raided spring 1897, and the full extent of Ethiopian claims. Reference table to cultivated districts and patches of cultivation. There is a reference to Major J R L Macdonald's despatch of 30 August 1897 to the Foreign Secretary.
