Area now in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda. 'A Map of Part of Eastern Africa prepared by authority of the Imperial British East Africa Company by E G Ravenstein, F.R.G.S.'. Map in four sheets. Manuscript additions show the route of the explorer Pigott in 1889. Reference table to routes of explorers, tribes. Insets: 1) 'Rough Sketch of the Region between the Upper Nile and Samburu'; 2) 'The N.E. Corner of the Victoria Nyanza .... by Jos. [Joseph] Thomson 1883'; 3) 'The Region of the Kilimanjaro'; 4) 'Rough Plan of the Lower Ozi Tana by Commdr [Commander] Pullen R.N. [Royal Navy]... 1889'; 5) 'Mombasa or Mvita'.
