[August] 1879 to ... the Colonial Secretary, Pretoria'. Shows wagon road from Pretoria to Drakensberg district and line of proposed railway from there to Lourenco Marques [Maputo]. Reference table. Scale: 1 inch to about 32 miles. Compass indicator. Signed by Martin J Farrell, Civil Engineer, L Marquez, August 1879, and A J van Helsdingen, [Assistant] Draftsman, S G [Surveyor General's] Office, October 1879.
