John Pears v. John Pattison, Wm. Addison, Edwd. Lowry, Anne Wilson, Josiah Gill, Isaac Huntington.: "The three watercorne mills or milnes situate in or near the city of Carlisle, in the county of Cumb'land, com'only called or known by the names of the `Burrough Milne,' `Bridge End Milne,' and `Castle Milne,' in the plaintiff's possession, by virtue of a lease from the mayor, aldermen and citizens of the city of Carlisle to the plaintiff and John Sowerby." Whether they are ancient mills. "Suit service and custom" (i.e. grinding corn, &c.), alleged to be due to said mills by the inhabitants of said city of Carlisle. Use of steel mills and horse mills by said inhabitants to the setting aside and injury of said custom, &c., &c. No. 6]. [The name of Robt.
