Description

The Right Hon. Wm. Lord Digby. v. John Meech, Esq., Wm. Richards, Esq., William Templeman, gent.: "Castle, lordships, and mannors of Sherborne Castleton, libertyes of Sherborne and Yetminster alias Yetmister in the county of Dorset." Metes and bounds, &c. "Whether the complainant, or any and which of his ancestors or predecessors, or whether his or their bayliffe or bayliffes have been entitled unto or have received any and what maner of fees, amerciaments, post fines, and greenwax fees, or either and which of them or any and what other fines and amerciaments sett upon inhabitants within the said lordships, mannors, hundreds, and liberties in the preceeding interrogatories mentioned, or either and which of them, or to the returns and executions of any and what writts and process against such inhabitants?" In what "manner the sheriff of the county, or his undersheriff, have usually accounted for said fines," and how said sheriff formerly used to direct precepts, warrants, and process against persons residing within said mannors, &c., &c. Whether the sheriff has compounded with plaintiff or his ancestors as lords of said manors? &c., "for entering and infringing the same hundreds"? &c., &c. [See also 11 Geo. 1., Hil., No. 9.]: Dorset
