Sir Carnaby Haggerston, Bart., "and others. v. John Craister, Mary Craister, widow.: Manor of Norham (of which the plaintiff is lord) and the wastes and commons belonging. Metes and bounds. Right of common. Touching a contempt alleged to have been committed by the defendants Mary Craister, widow, and John Craister against the Court of Exchequer by breach of an injunction (served upon them in the cause, Sir Carnaby Haggerston, Bart., and the tenants of the manor of Norham (Durham), against the Dean and Chapter of Durham, John Craister, "and others") directed to the defendants, and all claiming under them any lands, &c., in Shoreswood, or Shoreswood East Houses (Durham) (farmed by said John Craister under the said Dean and Chapter) for quieting the plaintiffs in possession of said manor of Norham, and for restraining the defendants and all claiming Shoreswood and Shoreswood East Houses from intercommoning any of their cattle whatsoever within the wastes of said manor of Norham, except within that part of said manor called "Stobbs Cross" and "Whiteridge."
