George Moore, Benjamin Johnson. v. William Hunter: Custom house in the port of Berwick-upon-Tweed, where the plaintiff Johnson was surveyor of customs, and the plaintiff Moore collector of customs; and the defendant was "rideing surveyor of his Majestiescustoms for the coast of North'ld" in the year 1715. Ought the said collector to pay or used he to pay the said riding surveyor's salary? Amount of said salary. Touching the value and disposal of brandy seized at Holy Island, and removed into Holy Island Castle, and said to have been claimed by the soldiers in garrison at Berwick-upon-Tweed, and the townsmen there "as their seizure."
