Description

The Attorney-General by the relation of the most Noble Anna Duchess of Buccleuch, the Right Hon. Fras. Scott, commonly called Earl of Dalkeith, the Right Hon. Henry Earl de Loraine, the Right Hon. Henry Earl of Rochester, the Right Hon. Wm. Lord Berkely,Baron of Stratton, James Davenant (an infant), under the age of one-and-twenty years, by Mary Davenant, his mother and next friend, and Joshua Blackwell, Esq. v. Wm. Ayre, John Williamson, Robert Nelson.: Manor of Spalding (Lincoln), of which Catherine Queen Dowager was formerly owner, the plaintiff, the Duchess of Buccleugh, is now owner, and which once belonged to the priory of Spalding (Lincoln). Whether "a certain duty or toll called thorough toll or any other and what toll is due and payable, or reputed to be due and payable, or hath been usually and for how many years or how long paid to the lords or ladies of the said manor of Spalding, or to their lessees, farmers, or undertenants of the same tolls and duties, by all or any persons (except only the tenants of the said manor) leading, driving, or carrying their goods, cattell, chattells, and carriages into or through or out of the same mannor or any part thereof?" Also touching the town of Whapload and marsh lands called "The Priors Marsh," &c., lying in Moulton and Whapload, and a place called "Ragmarsh," &c., &c. Metes and bounds. Customs of manor, &c., &c.
