George Stutevill (an infant), under the age of twenty-one years, by James Robinson, junr., gent., his next friend. v. William Wakeline, esquire, and his wife Mary.: Manor of Woodham Ferris alias Ferrers (Essex), of which Geo. Stutevill, gent., is now lord, and of which Thomas Awdley, gent., was lord about 40 years ago, who came to said manor by the death of his mother-in-law, Mrs. Barnes; the said Thos. Audley being a descendant (as appears by the writings belonging to said manor) from Thos. Lord Audley, Lord High Chancellor of England in the reign of King Henry the Eighth; and Lady Howard was lady of said manor after the said Thos. Awdley. Touching a capital messuage called "Edward's Hall," in Woodham Ferris (formerly the estate of Abraham Halsted, Esq., and afterwards of Captn Wm. Wakeline (who purchased the same of Wm. Halsted), and a messuage, farm, and lands called "Nuttings," in Woodham Ferris, formerly the estate of John Matthews. Whether any quit rents were demanded or paid to the lord of the said manor for said premises? Customs of said manor. Survey, &c., &c.: Essex
