The mayor, bailiffs, and commonalty of the city of Exeter. v. William Bond, of Topsham (Devon), mariner.: Corporation of the city of Exeter, which is said to have paid a fee-farm rent of twenty pounds for the years 1707 to 1712, for the use of the Right Hon. John Lord Somers, who claimed the same by virtue of a grant from the Crown. Whether the plaintiffs and their predecessors, members of the said Corporation of Exeter, are or have been entitled to any sums of money as due and payable to them in their politic capacity as petty customs or town customs, or duties for or in respect of goods, wares, and merchandizes, imported and brought in any ship, bark, boat, or vessel, into the port or haven of the city of Exeter, or into any the creeks or members thereof, and there unloaden? Whether Topsham is a member of said port, or a port of itself? Whether the havens of Teignmouth and Dartmouth are creeks or members of said port of Exeter? &c., &c. Metes and bounds of said port of Exeter, &c., &c.: Devon
