Description

Sir Edwd. Northey, Knt. (Attorney-General), at the relation of Edwd. Copley, relators, Joseph Crowther, Wm. Cooke, and Abr. Dransfield. v. Sir George Cooke, Bart.: Manor of Carlinghow alias Carlinghaw alias Kirlinghow, with its appurtenances, in the parish of Batley. Also touching the manor of Batley and places called "Brownehill," "Whiteley," "Stainecliff," and "Batley Carr." What number of manors are in Batley? Metes and bounds. Incroachments. Right and title to the soil of the wastes and commons. Right of getting coal or stone upon said wastes. Touching lands in Barwick, in Elmett, and scholes belonging to the Copley family, &c., &c.
