Description

The Most Noble Lord and Lady Chas. Duke of Somersett and Elizabeth Dutchesse of Somersett his wife, Thos. Davison, Richd. Grieve and Eliz. his wife, lately called Elizth Thompson, widow, and Elizth Burrell, widow. v. John Bell, John Callhound, James Scott, Geo. Milekin, Wm. Lindsey, Jas. Anderson, Jas. Allyson, Thos. Whittingham, Robt. Anderson,"and others.": Manor and barony of Alnwick, belonging to said Duke and Duchess (in right of said Duchess), the antient mills there called Alnwick Mills or Alnwick Town Mills, the town of Alnwick, and the villages and hamlets of Rugeley, Snipehouse, Shieldikes, Denwicke, and Bondgate, and places called"the Three Parkes," &c., &c. Touching the custom of suit and service (i.e., grinding corn, &c.) alleged to be due from the tenants and others of said manor, &c., to said ancient mills, &c., &c. [See also 1 Geo. 1., Mich., Nos. 32 and 38 in this Calendar.]: Northumberland.
