John Grindy v. Joseph Peddington, "and others.": Purchase (by plaintiff of defendant) of a gelding at Farringdon Fair (Berks), for the sum of 4l. 10s. in the year 1695, 10s. being paid down, and a note of hand given for 4l. Said gelding plaintiff found to be lame, and he exchanged it with defendant (upon the payment of a halfpenny by him) for another gelding which (it is alleged) fell dead on the road while being ridden home by plaintiff on the day of purchase.: Berks
