Description

Short title: Master of the Merchants Society of Bristol v Tyndale.

Plaintiff(s): The master, wardens, and com'onalty of the Society of Merchant Adventurers of the city of Bristol, and John Cary, merchant.

Defendant(s): John Tyndale.

Subject of depositions: Port of Bristol. Touching the fees payable by the merchants of Bristol to the searcher of the customs in said port during the reigns of James I and Chas i but more particularly during the years after the restoration of King Charles the Second, (i.e) 1660 to 1670.

County/place: Bristol.

Date of commission: 28 November 1693.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 15 January 1694 at Bristol.
