Description

Short title: Markham v Stanhope.

Plaintiff(s): Thomas Markham, John Clarke.

Defendant(s): Sir William Stanhope, kt, Richard Neale, Francis Wild, John Mason, John Bellamew.

Subject of depositions: "The wood called Billhay, within the forest of Sherwood, within the bounds and limits of the way next Ollerton on the east, Palethorpe Wayon the west, the Lord Kingston's Parke-Pale on the north, and Budby Way, south." Touching timber, trees, sold, by the defendants.

County/place: Nottinghamshire.

Date of commission: 28 November 1693.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 13 January 1694 at Ollerton.
