Description

Short title: Tipping v Cosyn.

Plaintiff(s): Lucretia Tipping (an infant) prosecuting by Sir Thomas Tipping, kt, her grandfather, next friend and guardian.

Defendant(s): Edward Cosyn of Wrexham, Edward Cosyn, of Bromeley, Ann Trotman, widow, William Hopton and his wife Anne.

Subject of depositions: Estates of Edward Cosyn (plaintiff's grandfather) in Hilsley (Gloucestershire) and Charly (Leicestershire), and the marriage settlement between Edward Cosyn, of Hilsley, esq, and Frances Try, daughter of William Try (Gloucestershire), and the "marriage portion of Frances Try after wife of Edward Cosyn" the plaintiff's said grandfather. [The names and possessions of Elizabeth Cosyn (daughter of said Edward and Frances), and of George Tipping (late husband of said Elizabeth), are mentioned].

County/place: Gloucestershire; Leicestershire.

Date of commission: 13 February 1693.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 21 April 1693 at Hilsley.
