Plaintiff(s): Warwick Ledgingham and his wife Mary, Martha their only child, the daughter and heire apparent of the said Warwick Ledgingham by the said Warwick Ledgingham her father and next friend.
Defendant(s): Gideon Haydon, and others.
Subject of depositions: Manor, hundred, and parish of OtterySt Mary (Devon). Whether there are not five several tenures or man'ers of holding of the lands and tenements within said mannor, namely soccage tenure, which is freehold customary tenure properly and strictly soe called, five acre tenure and Old Barton tenure, which are copyhold of inheritance, and New Barton tenure, which is the lord's demesnes? etc. Customs of manor. [A decree in the Court of Starr Chamber in the reign of King Henry the Eighth "between the late wardens and channons of the colledge of Ottry when they were lords of the said manor, and the copyholders or tenants of said manor, and a suit" on same subject are mentioned].
