Description

Short title: Cawley v King.

Plaintiff(s): John Cawley, DD.

Defendant(s): Edward King, owner of the impropriation of Ashby de la Land.

Subject of depositions: Rectory or impropriation of Ashby alias Esseby alias Ashby juxta Brueram alias Ashby de la Land, in the deanery of Lafford and archdeaconry of Lincoln. Whether any "proxies, procurations, synodalls, or pensions are due or payable, or have been formerly paid by or from any impropriator or impropriators of said rectory, to the compl't or any other former archdeacon or archdeacons of Lincoln for or in respect of said rectory?" etc. [Richard King (defendant's grandfather) is mentioned].

County/place: Lincolnshire.

Date of commission: 28 November 1691.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 26 January 1692 at Lincoln.
