Plaintiff(s): The most Noble Charles Duke of Somerset and his wife the Lady Elizabeth.
Defendant(s): Richard Tickell.
Subject of depositions: Manor of Braithwaite and Cowdale and the woods belonging (Cumberland), lately belonging to the Earls of Northumberland. Touching the customary tenements held of said manor, and in particular the defendant's tenement of "Brandonhow." Customs of said manor in relation to the timber wood thereon. Common of estovers, "house boote and other bootes" i.e. "hedge boote ", "cart boote" and "fire boote" etc.
County/place: Cumberland.
Date of commission: 19 June 1689.
