Description

Short title: Marquis of Powis v Walcott.

Plaintiff(s): The Most Noble William Marquess of Powis.

Defendant(s): John Walcott.

Subject of depositions: Plaintiff's manor or lordship of Kerry, in Montgomery, and the lordship and forest of Clunn, in county of Salop, and the wastes and commons belonging. Metes and bounds. Right of common of pasturage, and of estovers of the inhabitants of the manor within such forest Customs of manors. Survey of the lordships in the 20th year of the reign of Queen Elizabeth. [Sir Robert Howard, K.B. and his son and heir Henry Howard, esq, both formerly and successively lords of the honor, manor, and hundred of Clunn aforesaid, are mentioned].

County/place: Montgomeryshire; Shropshire.

Date of commission: 4 July 1688.
