Description

Short title: Attorney General v Hulton.

Plaintiff(s): The Attorney General, as well on behalf of the King's Majestie, at the relation of Sir James Butler, kt, Her Majesty the Queen Dowager's Attorney General, Lewis Earl of Feversham, and others, trustees to and for Her Majesty Katherin Queen Dowager and ofElizabeth Hyde, widow, relict and administratrix, with the will annexed of Robert Hyde, gent. and Robert Hyde his sonne (an infant), by the same Elizabeth his mother and guardian, as on the part and behalf of the said relators.

Defendant(s): William Hulton, one of the defendants.

Subject of depositions: Right and title to a garden or piece of ground in the possession or holding of Mary Ashton, widow, lying on the north side of a messuage or dwelling-house called "The Lamb" situate in Eastgate Street, in the city of Chester. Also touching a house (claimed by defendant) called the "Myter Taverne" and the house called "The Lambhouse." Metes and bounds, etc. Whether the "Lambhouse" is and hath been reputed to be parcel of the King's manor of Hambridge, in same county? etc. [Ralph Hulton (defendant's grandfather), Richard Ashton ( "late husband to the other defendant Mary Ashton "), and Thomas Ashton (father of Richard), are mentioned].
