Description

Short title: Attorney General v Jones.

Plaintiff(s): Sir Robert Sawyer, kt (Attorney General), by information.

Defendant(s): Herbert Jones.

Subject of depositions: Sheriffs' accounts from the year 1668 to 1675 (Monmouthshire). Touching fines levied upon the inhabitants of the county for not repairing the highways of the county, and money received by defendant on that account during his tenure of office of under sheriff of the county. Receipts, acquittances.

County/place: Monmouthshire.

Date of commission: 13 February 1688.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 24 April 1688 at Monmouth.
