Description

Short title: Atkins v Savage.

Plaintiff(s): Sir Robert Atkins, K.B. serjeant-at-law.

Defendant(s): Charles Savage, Francis Savage, Giles Stedman, Toby Mayo, John Thomas, Moses Weeks, Nathaniel Body, Edward Teakle, William Damsel, Jonn. Hodges.

Subject of depositions: Manor or town of Tetbury alias Tedbury, in Gloster, and the "liberty or franchise" of the seven hundreds of Cirencester. Whether the manor, town, or borough of Tetbury is included within the liberty. Metes and bounds. Jurisdiction. Customs of manor. Touching the plaintiff's claim to the goods of felons, i.e. to the goods of William Young alias Camell, Richard Games, and John Anderson, about two years since apprehended in the town of Tetbury for felony. [The Lords of Berkeley are mentioned as lords of the manor].
