Description

Short title: Giffard v Harper.

Plaintiff(s): Walter Giffard, John Giffard.

Defendant(s): John Harper.

Subject of depositions: Manor of Brewood, lying in the villages, of Brewood, Horsebrooke, Chillington, Somerford, Engleton, Bromhall, Hatton, Kerrymore, Gunston, Coldham, Bishopswood, Kyddimore Green (Staffordshire), parcel of the bishopric of Coventry and Lichfield, and leased or granted to the plaintiffs by the Bishop. Touching defendant's freehold and copyhold lands in the manor, and a yearly chief rent or sum of 20s. claimed by plaintiff for the lands. Metes and bounds of manor. [Thomas Giffard (plaintiff's son), Peter Giffard (plaintiff's father), Clement Careless, and Rowland Cooke, are mentioned].
