Description

Short title: Hopkins v Dale.

Plaintiff(s): Henry Hopkins, the mayor and burgesses of the boro' of Christchurch, Twineham.

Defendant(s): William Dale, John Fequett, John Smith.

Subject of depositions: Port of Christchurch. Touching dues and charges claimed by plaintiffs for keyage or for shipping and unshipping any goods and merchandizes within the "port or reputed port" namely 2d. per tun for every tun of wine, brandy, etc. Metes and bounds, of port, and of the manor of Somerford in the parish of Christchurch etc.

County/place: Hampshire.

Date of commission: 29 November 1686.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 25 January 1687 at Christchurch.
