Description

Short title: Smith v Knackston.

Plaintiff(s): Joseph Smith and his wife Martha.

Defendant(s): Thomas Knackston, Thomas Coleman, Thomas Robinson, Jehosophat Stevens.

Subject of depositions: Farm in Clapton, rented by Chas. Knackston (defendant's brother), who "absconded and became insolvent." Touching the management of such farm by plaintiff Martha, and an award made by defendants.

County/place: Berkshire.

Date of commission: 29 November 1686.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 10 January 1687 at Theale.
