Description

Short title: Oldfield v Audley.

Plaintiff(s): William Oldfield and his wife Rebecca.

Defendant(s): Thomas Audley and his wife Elizabeth.

Subject of depositions: Right and title to "the lands and premises now in question" [where situate does not appear] held under lease from Phillip Earl of Chesterfield. [Christopher Hinton (former husband of defendant Elizabeth) said to be a recusant, and late father of plaintiff Rebecca, and his son John Hinton (plaintiff Rebecca's late brother), are mentioned].

County/place: Derbyshire.

Date of commission: 28 November 1685.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 26 January 1686 at Marston Montgomery.
