Defendant(s): Joseph Porter, Cuthbert Steele, Anthony Stamper, John Lawrence, Thomas Rooke, Hugh Wilson, the younger, John Smith, Christopher Hodgson, Anthony Turner, Robert Wood, Thomas Brough, John Alne, Mungo Tiffin.
Subject of depositions: Manor of Boulton, in Cumberland, and the water corn-milne belonging. Touching the custom of "suit and service" to the mill (i.e. grinding corn). Also touching the liability of tenants in that part of the manor called Bolton Wood who were exempted from "suit and service" custom "to pay or deliver to the now complts. or any former lord of said manor or their lessees or farmers any moulture, haver, or oates." [A former suit of Algernon Earl of Northumberland v. Thomas Rooke, Anthony Turner, and others, for refusing to pay such "moulture, haver, or oates" is mentioned].
