Description

Short title: Vicaris v Chamberlaine.

Plaintiff(s): Robert Vicaris, clerk, rector of the rectory and parish church of Heythrop (Oxfordshire).

Defendant(s): Thomas Chamberlaine, of Addington (Gloucestershire).

Subject of depositions: Rectory of Heythrop, and grounds called "Kiteny Close" and "The Warren" in the lordship of Dunthrop, in the parish of Heythrop; the estates of Broadston and Lidston, in the parish of Enston (Oxfordshire), parcel of Brazen Nose College, in Oxford. Whether the "estates" formerly belonged to the late priory of Cold Norton? Also touching lands in Great and Little Tew, in defendant's lease from Brazen Nose College aforesaid, and lands lying in Rolwright and Chipping Norton. Whether formerly belonging to the priory? And lands in Churchill and Chilson. Whether parcel of late priory and college? And lands in Hook Norton (Oxfordshire). Tithes.

Date of commission: 8 July 1685.
