Description

Short title: Smalridge v Latham.

Plaintiff(s): Jeremiah Smalridge.

Defendant(s): John Latham, William Weale, Thomas Day, Ann Carter, widow, John Wilkinson.

Subject of depositions: Manor of Newport Pagnell (belonging to the Earl of Anglesey) and all manner of stallage, tollage, piccage, showpence, and other dues accustomed to be paid to the farmers of the tolls there, and of the profits of fairs and markets there kept, and of the wastes, grounds, and streets within the manor, of all of which dues, plaintiff has a lease from the Earl. Touching alleged incroachments by defendants upon the streets of Newport, and upon plaintiff's rights by setting or causing to be set thereupon stalls, and taking in and inclosing part thereof as dwelling-house. Also touching the town of Olney in Bucks. Whether the town is within the duchy of Lancaster? etc.
