Subject of depositions: Manor house or capital messuage called "The Hall of Bamferlong" one water corn-mill, and other lands, belonging, situate in Abraham, Ince, Hindley, and Wigan, formerly belonging to Richard Ashton, deceased, and lately to his daughter Mary Ashton, deceased. Touching the employment by Mary of Henry Gerard (a solicitor) (defendant's late father) to assist in paying her father's debts, and his getting the premises into his own possession by various dishonest contrivances.
