Subject of depositions: Plaintiff's lands called "Bromehill Salts" ( "inned and gained" from the sea by Sir Thomas Culpeper, plaintiff's grandfather), and defendant's lands called the Fresh Marsh at Bromehill (purchased by Robert Austen, defendant's late father, of the late "usurped powers ") having been forfeited for the "pretended" delinquency of John Lord Culpeper (plaintiff's father). Said lands are stated to have been granted by Queen Elizabeth, with other lands, in fee farm under the yearly rent of one hundred and twenty-two pounds four shillings payable out of the whole. Touching the proportions of the fee-farm rent to be paid by the plaintiff and defendant for their respective lands, and the relative value of such lands.
