Description

Short title: Merrett v Dodwell.

Plaintiff(s): Richard Merrett.

Defendant(s): Paul Dodwell, and William Dodwell (an infant) by said Paul, his father and guardian.

Subject of depositions: Messuage in Winchcombe (Gloucestershire), lately belonging to Richard Merrett, of Winchcomb (plaintiff's late uncle). Touching also messuages in Winchcombe called "the Churchlands" and part of a ground called "Smarcotts" lying in Greet, purchased by James Dodwell, late of Winchcomb, mercer, of Robert and Christopher Merrett, sons of Doctor Christopher Merrett, late brother of Richard Merrett, of Winchcomb), and the last will and testament of James Dodwell.

County/place: Gloucestershire.

Date of commission: 18 June 1684.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 23 September 1684 at Cheltenham.
