Description

Short title: Herbert v Fowler.

Plaintiff(s): Henry Herbert.

Defendant(s): Richard Fowler, Thomas Bishop.

Subject of depositions: Manors of Great Sutton, Little Sutton or Suttons, and Whitchott, and a farm in Coldweston, lately in the possession of Edward Maddox, and a farm called English's Farm, lands in Longnor, the manors of Cardington and Leighton, the manors of Elton, and Marlow and Rushocke, and lands, in Nether Leighton, St Margaret's Clee, Corfton, and Ludlow (Salop, Hereford, and Montgomery). [The names and possessions of Dame Margaret Corbet, wife of Sir Edward Corbet (late of Leighton, Montgomery), bart deceased, Martha Waties (wife of Edward Waties, father of Dame Margaret), one of the sisters and co-heiresses of Francis Fox, late of Whitchott aforesaid, deceased, Edward Corbet, esquire, son and heir of Sir Edward Sir Richard Corbet, bart son of Edward Corbet, esq, Francis, Charles, Richd. and Margaret Corbet, children of Sir Edward and Dame Margaret , Dame Anne Fox, widow and relict of Sir Richard Fox, kt (afterwards wife of Sir William Long, bart) brother of the aforesaid Francis Fox, of Whitchott, Sir Henry Herbert, plaintiff's late father, Thomas Corbet, John Fowler (defendant's brother), and Jane Bishop, are mentioned].
