Description

Short title: Shippardson v Smith.

Plaintiff(s): John Shippardson, the younger, and his wife Elizabeth.

Defendant(s): Elizabeth Smith, John Tweddaile and his wife Margaret, Dorothy Spark, Elizabeth Spark, Jane Smith, Anne Smith, George Sparke, Mary Smith, John Atkinson and his wife Elizabeth.

Subject of depositions: Real and personal estate of Ralph Smith (late father of plaintiff Elizabeth late husband of defendant Elizabeth and late father of defendants Margaret, Anne, and Jane), including his lands at Easington, Shotton, Lumley, and Unthank, and a farm at Whitton held of Sherborn Hospital, and "a Dean and Chapter farme" at West Raynton, and touching the last will and testament and estate of Robert Jameson (late father of defendant Elizabeth), and land called "Read Marshall Lands" etc.

County/place: Durham.

Date of commission: 28 November 1683.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 23 January 1684 at Durham.
