Description

Short title: Attorney General v Sambach.

Plaintiff(s): Sir Robert Sawyer, kt (Attorney General).

Defendant(s): Anthony Sambach, Edward Phillips, clerk, John Philpott, Jane Crompe, Thomas Savage, Richard Freeman.

Subject of depositions: Bond given by Thomas Crompe (late husband of defendant Jane) as security for money lent by Nicholas Field, of Evesham, to Thomas Crompe, and a bullary of saltwater and lands lying in Dodderhill, Droitwitch, and St Peeter's (Worcestershire), belonging to Thomas (in right of Jane), and delivered over (upon extent) years ago by the sheriff to the defendant Sambach for defendant. Value, names, etc. of the lands.

County/place: Worcestershire.

Date of commission: 27 June 1683.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 26 October 1683 at Sidbury.
