Description

Short title: Merrett v Dodwell.

Plaintiff(s): Richard Merrett.

Defendant(s): Paul Dodwell and William Dodwell (an infant under the age of one and twenty years), by said Paul his father and guardian, John Baylis, Christopher Merrett, Doctor of Phisick, and Robert and Christopher Merrett his sons, two of the defendants.

Subject of depositions: Lands of Richard Merrett, deceased (plaintiff's late uncle), lying in Winchcombe, including lands called Smarcoates; and the last will and testament of James Dodwell, deceased, brother of the defendant Paul Dodwell.

County/place: Gloucestershire.

Date of commission: 27 June 1683.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 30 July 1683 at Winchcomb.
