Defendant(s): Thomas Scriven, Thomas Dunckley, Thomas Webster.
Subject of depositions: Rebuilding of the common shambles in the town of Northampton, made necessary by the destruction of the old shambles by the fire, in the year 1675, which consumed a great part of the town. Touching the refusal of the defendants (butchers) to use the new shambles which were built under the direction of the commissioners appointed by Act of Parliament to superintend the rebuilding of the town, and the scite, of which shambles were approved by the mayor and corporation of the town.

Date of commission: 12 February 1683.
