Description

Short title: Dege v Heath.

Plaintiff(s): John Dege and his wife Frances.

Defendant(s): Isaac Heath, James Strutt, James Thwaites (an infant), by his guardian, Stephen Hales.

Subject of depositions: Last will and testament and estate of William Thwaites, late of Stepney, in Middlesex, and his wife Frances (mother and father of plaintiff Francis and defendant James), including the manor of Barners Roothing (Essex), purchased by William in 1678 of William Capel, and his lands in Chalke End, Roxwell, Barnish Hall, and Good Easter. [The possessions of Frances Limbrey, grandmother of James, and of Thomas and Martha, two other children of William and Frances, are mentioned].

County/place: Essex.

Date of commission: 28 November 1682.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 20 December 1682 at Chelmsford.
