Description

Short title: Langley v Prince.

Plaintiff(s): Sir Henry Langley, kt.

Defendant(s): Phillip Prince, and others.

Subject of depositions: Late dissolved monastery or abbey of Shrewsbury, part whereof is plaintiff's dwelling-house, and the plaintiff's water corn-mills called the Abbey Mills. Whether the owners of the Site of said abbey "have used to digge or caused to be digged any clay in a certain lane or waste piece of ground within the parish of Holy Cross, called Windmill Lane, for their necessary use and uses in and abt the p'misses until interrupted by defts." Touching also the right of the owners to "a certain great wall encloseing an orchard of the complts." etc. Also touching the manor and lordship of Monkes Foryat (Shropshire). Metes and bounds. Customs of manor.

Date of commission: 5 July 1682.
