Description

Short title: Warnford v Millington.

Plaintiff(s): Penelope Warnford.

Defendant(s): Sir Thomas Millington, kt, and Dame Ann Hannah his wife.

Subject of depositions: Manor of Boycote and lands and tenements in Boycote, Ulcomb, Headcorn, Wade alias Iwade, Warden, Pattenden Ashdown and Lenham; Michael Berkeley, Doctor King, late Bishop of Chichester, his son John King, deceased, Mary Knight, spinster (servant to Michael), who claimed the manor, under his will, and suits in the Prerogative Court and courts of common law or equity between Mary Knight and the plaintiff, and John King and Henry King concerning that will, and for the recovery of Michael's estate from Mary Knight.

County/place: Kent.

Date of commission: 28 November 1681.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 19 November 1681(?) at Maidstone.
